Recording and engineering grew from my wanting to get better at making music. Jumpstarting with a Novation Launchpad and lite version of Ableton (won from an online DJ Hero contest), I jumped into the world of DAWs and mixing. Shortly after, I bought an Akai interface and microphone and began my foray into recording. I had the opportunity to expand my experience at BTSOA by recording some of the bands in the music program as well as acting as the resident DJ for performances.

In college, I recorded a number of local bands and voiceovers in Cincinnati State’s recording studio. After getting my Associate’s degree, I went to UC’s College-Conservatory of Music, eventually engineering and recording at Monastery recording studio in Cincinnati. During this time I also joined the CCM Recording Team, overseeing the miking, recording, and editing of dozens of CCM live performances.

Throughout this time, I was recording and making music on my own building up my studio equipment. as well as providing a recording space for podcasts.
