Media has always been apart of my life. Whether it’s music, films, television; I’ve always been drawn to it. 

Music was my first interest. While I didn’t play any instruments until middle school, I had an immense enjoyment and memory of music. I began singing and would remain a member of school choirs from at least 6th grade onward. With the accessibility to hear digital music anywhere and anytime, I started to be able to recall song artists and titles within seconds of hearing the song itself. Teachers who noticed this began to suggest that I look into DJing. 

In high school, this suggestion expanded into the desire to actively pursue DJing. I would soon form a band with some friends as their DJ and eventual producer. At the same time, I began attending a vocational arts school for vocals, where I would continuously perform and DJ for major school events. 

When applying for colleges, I received a full 3-year honors scholarship to Cincinnati State where I would attend for Audio/Video Production. While my initial interest was in audio and music recording, I quickly found parallel interests in video and graphic design. Around this time, I discovered video feedback and began experimenting with the practice. 

After two years acquiring the degree and another year of gaining supplemental transfer credit, I graduated from Cinci State with an Associates degree and continued my education through the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music. Under the Electronic Media division, I further developed my knowledge and skill of the Adobe Suite, music production, and even picked up a little bit of web design.

Now as a recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati, I’m looking to use my experience in the media world to bring to life others’ and my own vision to reality and continue learning along the way.

I currently work for a wedding DJ company out of Dayton, where I also help create social media content and facilitate client information. I’m also working on a number of musical projects, as well as expanding my visual arts equipment and portfolio with the intention of integrating my visuals with projectors into live musical performance.
