Like many creatives in media related fields, the past few years provided an opportunity to pivot into live streaming.
Initially starting with a single webcam for DJ sets years ago, I quickly regained interest with the growing boom and accessibility of going live. Researching the current landscape and establishing a streaming setup, I jumped back in, now with additional opportunities to showcase my visual effects.

In addition to my personal projects, my job also made the decision to additionally provide live streaming for events and allow people to experience them safely from their homes. I began co-leading this department of the company, using my experience from my earlier DJ streams. I would bring my knowledge of video production, programs, and processes to improve the procedures and functionality of the company’s live streaming setup. Having a hand in everything from lighting, live switching, camera placement, and post-editing, I became a central part in the process.
In total, I’ve streamed over 30 events professionally and over 20 personal streams playing records or working with visual effects. Doing so has brough experience with and a better understanding of SlingStudio, OBS, StreamLabs, Restream.io, Twitch, and YouTube.
